Movie Ticket Prices in the Future

Being the movie buff that I am, I keep almost all of my ticket stubs after I go to the movies. I was looking through them and found the price ranges from $4.75 to $11.50. I still find it hard to spend money on movie tickets when gas prices are almost 4 dollars a gallon. Every year the ticket prices are going to raise just like gas prices. There has to be a movie coming out that I would spend top dollar to see otherwise I am just wasting gas money. I think its just better to wait for it to come out on DVD and Blu Ray.

  1. I believe that the movie tickets will increase in the future without a doubt because that is the way it is. but there still many people will go to theater to watch new movie because it is big difference when you watch movie from your home compare you watch it in theater.

  2. Personally, I think that movie theaters will go out of style just like drive in movies. As you can see now, the industry is making the money in companies such as neftlix and online streaming sites. People know it’s a pain leaving there house and rather watch it at their own home. I think down the road, movies will just be released and will be able to rent or purchase right when they come out, they might be a lot of money in the future, but I think everything will be going to the digital world.

  3. This part of the movie industry will become more of past. The prices for movie are too much. I see a movie in theaters once every 6 months. There are many ways to view movies at a cheaper price. There are some theaters that offer cheaper prices. The prices being so high will lead to customers to find illegal ways to get the movie, this hurts every one in the movie industry.

  4. I agree with all of the above... movie theaters will certainly become extinct eventually. It is to simple to have movies sent directly to your home or computer. I can not remember the last time I went to the movies and felt like it was worth the money to go. With 14 dollars for a ticket and then food and drinks its easily a 60 dollar trip, its ridiculous.. ill save my money and wait for the DVD.

  5. I think that people still like to go out to the movies even if the price is a little too high. Gas prices are too high, but people drive. They could easily take septa. So like gas, people could easily rent is at RedBox, but they still won't because of the excitement they get. If they really want to see the movie, they won't mind paying almost $15.
